Message in a bottle – We are in Uzbekistan

Right now i`m sitting in a small guesthouse in Khiva, Uzbekistan. We are safe and sound after some really chaotic days. Unfortunately you still have to wait, but I promise the posts about Iran and Turkmenistan will come. Sooner or later.
There is maybe one internet cafe in Khiva. We will try to find it later. The guesthouse has Wifi, but our 33.3-dial-up-modem in the 90s was faster. I`m not joking. Uploading one image takes around 20 to 30 minutes if the upload succeeds at all. I get disconnected all the time, probably due to regular power failures occuring at least in our street.

However, I continue to write posts and will publish them as soon as I can add the images.

I can already tell you that some really crazy days lay behind us. Especially Turkmenistan was a surprisingly intense experience.

I won`t add any images to this post for reasons explained above. Khiva, however, is an amazingly beautiful little city.

Stay tuned…
